Kingflex
Optimized low-temperature systems, cryogenic containment, and high-performance elastomeric formulations straight from our automated manufacturing lines.
In modern industrial and commercial construction, thermal performance, condensation control, and structural longevity are highly dependent on insulation selection. Kingflex Black Color Rubber Foam Insulation Sheet Rolls are formulated from a highly sophisticated elastomeric composite structure, utilizing a balanced blend of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). This polymeric matrix creates a high-density, closed-cell configuration with a closed-cell ratio exceeding 98%. Unlike open-cell products, which allow moisture paths to form over time, our closed-cell matrix prevents moisture ingress, which is critical for continuous thermal efficiency.
The core objective of any thermal barrier is the minimization of heat transfer, typically expressed through thermal conductivity ($\lambda$-value). The closed-cell pockets within Kingflex rubber foam isolate tiny volumes of inert air, reducing convective heat transfer within the material itself. At an average temperature of 0°C, the material achieves a thermal conductivity value of $\le 0.034$ W/m·K. Because the formulation maintains elasticity down to -40°C (and lower in specialized cryogenic series), it serves as a highly robust insulator across a vast operating envelope from -40°C to +105°C.
| Physical / Performance Parameter | Testing Protocol | Measured / Certified Range |
|---|---|---|
| Closed-Cell Ratio | ASTM D2856 | ≥ 98.4% |
| Thermal Conductivity ($\lambda$) at 0°C | ASTM C518 / ISO 8301 | ≤ 0.034 W/(m·K) |
| Water Vapor Permeability ($\mu$-factor) | EN 12086 / BS EN 13469 | ≥ 10,000 (moisture barrier integrated) |
| Fire Performance Certification | BS 476 Part 6 & 7 / UL 94 | Class 0 / Class 1 / V-0 Rated |
| Material Density Range | ASTM D1622 | 40 - 55 kg/m³ |
| Compression Resilience | ASTM D1056 | ≥ 80% recovery rate |
One of the most destructive degradation pathways for industrial piping is Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI). CUI occurs when moisture enters the insulation system, gets trapped against the metal pipe wall, and catalyzes oxidation. Kingflex closed-cell rubber foam provides intrinsic resistance to CUI due to its high water vapor diffusion resistance ($\mu$-factor $\ge 10,000$). Water cannot migrate into the core structure of the roll or pipe. Consequently, the pipe surface remains dry, preventing corrosion and reducing operational maintenance costs over a typical service life of 10 to 15 years.
Supplying high-performance energy-saving solutions with a verified pedigree of quality and reliability.
Thermal insulation is no longer just a component of construction; it is a core factor in global carbon reduction and operational efficiency. In multi-megawatt commercial projects, industrial petrochemical facilities, and municipal heat systems, energy loss translates directly to financial loss and increased carbon emissions. Kingflex operates as a key solution provider, addressing these issues through advanced material design and system engineering.
In large-scale commercial real estate (hospitals, shopping centers, airports), air handling units and cold water pipelines operate continuously. Kingflex NBR/PVC sheets prevent surface condensation and subsequent mold growth. The integrated flame retardancy ensures compliance with high-occupancy building safety codes.
Transporting liquified natural gas (LNG) requires maintaining temperatures down to -163°C or below. Our cryogenic range, including Dolefin and specialized Alkadiene formulations, maintains flexibility at extremely low temperatures without cracking, safeguarding structural components and piping systems.
Over the past 16 years, Kingflex has exported solutions to over 66 countries. Our materials are specified in applications ranging from deep-sea offshore platforms, where resistance to salt spray and high moisture is mandatory, to desert solar installations with high UV and thermal stress. The reliability of our supply chain is supported by our location in Dacheng, China—a hub for green building materials.
Kingflex Insulation Co., Ltd. was established by the Jinwei Group, which holds a manufacturing history of over 40 years. Founded in 1979, the group was the first thermal insulation manufacturer north of the Yangtze River, growing to support state ministries in energy, electric power, and chemical processing.
With an annual output of 600,000 cubic meters, Kingflex maintains strict quality controls under ISO certifications, supported by a specialized international sales group and a dedicated technical team.

Kingflex maintains an active Polymer Evaluation and Testing Laboratory, equipped with tools to analyze density, thermal transfer, fire performance, and mechanical aging. Rather than relying on simple production checks, we sample raw materials and finished products from our 5 automatic assembly lines daily.
This systematic approach ensures our materials consistently meet flame retardancy standards (such as BS 476 and UL94). Below are testing images showing our internal validation setups:
Compliance is critical for project approvals and building safety certifications. Kingflex materials are tested under rigorous international frameworks to confirm they meet fire safety, environmental impact, and chemical emissions limits.
The insulation market is shifting toward sustainability and low-emission materials. To meet these changing requirements, Kingflex's engineering team is actively focusing on three core areas:
