Product Description

Cryogenic Thermal Insulation

This is a flexible, high density and mechanically robust, closed cell cryogenic thermal insulation material based on extruded elastomeric foam.

The product has been specially developed for use on the import/export pipelines and process areas of liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities. It provides low temperature flexibility to the system as part of a multi-layer cryogenic configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the temperature range of this cryogenic thermal insulation?
The insulation is specially formulated to maintain its structure and flexibility at very low temperatures, performing efficiently within a temperature range of -200℃ to +200℃.
Does this material require an additional moisture barrier?
No, this material has built-in moisture proof properties, eliminating the need to install an extra moisture barrier.
How does the system reduce cracking and corrosion risks?
The high density elastomeric foam minimizes the development and propagation of cracks, while also protecting the piping from corrosion under insulation (CUI).
Is the material environmentally friendly and safe to handle?
Yes, the insulation is formulated and manufactured without fibers, dust, CFCs, or HCFCs, making it safe for handling and installation.
Are expansion joints needed for installation?
No expansion joints are required due to the excellent flexibility and low glass transition temperature of the elastomeric material.
How does this insulation maintain air tightness?
The system design ensures fewer joints, which guarantees the ultimate air tightness of the setup while making the overall installation process fast and efficient.
