China Elastomeric Insulation For Ultra Low Temperature Pipeline Suppliers, Factories

When the operating temperature of the pipeline is lower than -180℃,consideration should be given to laying the vapor layer on the ULT of the ultra-low temperature adiabatic system to prevent liquid oxygen from forming on the metal pipe wall.

Product Description

No Moisture Barrier Required

The flexible ULT system insulation system does not need to install a moisture barrier. Due to the unique closed cell structure and polymer blend formulation, LT low temperature elastomeric material has been highly resistant to water vapor permeation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this insulation system require a separate moisture barrier?

No, the ULT system features a unique closed-cell structure and specialized polymer blend formulation, providing high inherent resistance to water vapor permeation and eliminating the need for an external moisture barrier.

What is the operating temperature range for these insulation materials?

The ULT low-temperature elastomeric insulation system maintains its flexibility and performance at extremely low temperatures, operating within a wide range of -200°C to 125°C.

How does this product help protect against Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI)?

By maintaining a built-in resistance to moisture ingress and maintaining a neutral/alkaline pH value of ≥8.0, the insulation prevents corrosive moisture from reaching the pipe surface, drastically reducing CUI risks.

What are the thermal conductivity levels of the ULT and LT materials?

The thermal conductivity (tested via ASTM C177) for the ULT material ranges from 0.028 W/(m·K) at -100°C to 0.021 W/(m·K) at -165°C. For the LT material, it ranges from 0.033 W/(m·K) at 0°C to 0.028 W/(m·K) at -50°C.

Is the material suitable for complex pipe shapes and geometries?

Yes. Because of its elastomeric composition, the insulation remains flexible even at cryogenetic temperatures, ensuring easy cutting, shaping, and quick installation on elbows, valves, and complex fittings.

What standard roll sizes and thicknesses are available?

The standard dimensions are available in two primary thicknesses: 3/4" (20mm) thickness supplied in 10m × 1m rolls (10㎡ total), and 1" (25mm) thickness supplied in 8m × 1m rolls (8㎡ total).
