Frequently Asked Questions
What are the primary applications of these insulation tubes?
They are widely used in HVAC systems, cooling units, central air conditioning freezing water pipes, condensing water pipes, air ducts, hot-water pipes, and general building construction.
What is the thermal conductivity of this insulation material?
It features exceptionally low thermal conductivity, measuring ≤0.030 W/(m.k) at -20°C, ≤0.032 W/(m.k) at 0°C, and ≤0.036 W/(m.k) at 40°C, which effectively minimizes thermal losses.
What temperature range can these insulation tubes withstand?
The material exhibits excellent performance across a wide operating temperature range from -50°C to 110°C, conforming to GB/T 17794-1999 test standards.
Are these insulation tubes fireproof?
Yes, they hold a Class 0 & Class 1 fire rating according to BS 476 Part 6 & 7, with a flame spread and smoke index of 25/50 under ASTM E 84 tests.
How does the closed-cell structure benefit the application?
The closed-cell structure prevents moisture absorption (water absorption is limited to 20% by volume per ASTM C 209) and yields high water vapor permeability resistance (μ ≥10000), preventing condensation and mold.
Is the material resistant to environmental degradation?
Absolutely. The insulation displays good resistance to ozone, fungi (ASTM 21), and U.V./weathering (ASTM G23), ensuring long-term durability in outdoor and harsh environments.
