Application Overview
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the primary applications of this rubber foam insulation?
This rubber foam insulation is ideal for retarding heat transmission and controlling condensation in chilled-water and refrigeration systems, as well as minimizing heat transfer in hot-water plumbing, liquid-heating, dual-temperature piping, ductwork, and low pressure steam lines.
What is the operating temperature range for this material?
The material performs safely and effectively within a temperature range of -50°C to 110°C, tested in compliance with GB/T 17794-1999 standards.
How well does this insulation resist fire and smoke?
It features excellent fire safety characteristics, achieving a BS 476 Class 0 & Class 1 fire rating, a Flame Spread and Smoke Developed Index of 25/50 (ASTM E 84), and an Oxygen Index of ≥36 (ISO4589).
Does this insulation offer resistance against environmental factors like U.V. and ozone?
Yes, it demonstrates outstanding environmental durability, with high resistance ratings for fungi (ASTM 21), ozone (GB/T 7762-1987), and weather/U.V. degradation (ASTM G23).
What is the thermal conductivity of this rubber foam insulation?
According to ASTM C 518 testing, the thermal conductivity values are ≤0.030 W/(m.k) at -20°C, ≤0.032 W/(m.k) at 0°C, and ≤0.036 W/(m.k) at 40°C, ensuring high thermal efficiency.
Why is the closed-cell structure important?
The closed-cell structure prevents moisture penetration, resulting in low water absorption rates and stable thermal performance, while preventing condensation and slowing down aging over time.
