Frequently Asked Questions
What are the primary applications for this rubber plastic pipe insulation?
This material is widely used for insulating chilled water pipes, condensation pipes, air ducts, and hot-water pipes in central air-conditioning and heating systems. It is also suitable for studio rooms, workshop buildings, general construction, and various equipment piping.
What are the key benefits of the closed-cell structure?
The closed-cell structure prevents moisture penetration, offering an exceptionally high water vapor resistance factor (μ ≥ 10000). This provides long-term, stable thermal insulation and prevents condensation and thermal losses.
How does this insulation pipe perform under high and low temperatures?
The insulation features an extensive operating temperature range, performing safely and effectively from -50°C up to 110°C, making it versatile for both cold and hot medium piping systems.
Is this pipe insulation fire resistant?
Yes, it holds a Class 0 & Class 1 fire rating according to BS 476 Part 6 & 7. Additionally, it has a Flame Spread and Smoke Developed Index of 25/50 under ASTM E 84, and an Oxygen Index of ≥36.
Is the material environmentally friendly and durable?
Absolutely. The insulation is environmentally safe, offers excellent durability with resistance to ozone, fungi (ASTM 21), and U.V. radiation/weathering (ASTM G23), ensuring a long service life.
