Frequently Asked Questions
What is the operating temperature range for these elastomeric insulation tubes?
The elastomeric insulation tubes can reliably operate within a wide temperature range of -50°C to 110°C, making them suitable for both freezing and hot steam installations.
What materials are used in the manufacturing of this insulation?
It is produced using a premium blend of butyronitrile rubber and polyvinyl chloride (NBR/PVC) as the main raw materials, processed through a special continuous foaming technology.
How does the closed foam structure improve insulation performance?
The independent closed-cell structure prevents water vapor from penetrating and maintains a low thermal conductivity (≤0.032 W/(m.k) at 0°C), providing excellent thermal barrier stability.
What are the fire resistance safety ratings of this material?
The material is certified with Class 0 & Class 1 fire ratings according to BS 476 Part 6 and 7 standards, and meets the ASTM E 84 standard with a 25/50 Flame Spread and Smoke Developed index.
What industries commonly use this flexible elastomeric insulation?
It is widely used in central air-conditioning piping systems, commercial buildings, ships, automotive manufacturing, and various pipelines carrying cold or hot liquids.
Is this insulation material resistant to environmental factors?
Yes, this insulation exhibits strong performance against environmental damage, offering excellent resistance to mold/fungi growth, ozone exposure, UV rays, and harsh weather conditions.
