Frequently Asked Questions
Q:What is the temperature range for NBR Elastomeric Insulation?
The temperature range is from -50°C up to 110°C, tested in compliance with standard GB/T 17794-1999.
Q:Does this insulation tube offer good fire protection?
Yes, it achieves Class 0 & Class 1 fire ratings according to BS 476 Part 6 & 7 testing methods. It also meets the ASTM E 84 standard with a Flame Spread and Smoke Developed Index of 25/50.
Q:Is NBR foam insulation resistant to moisture and water vapor?
Yes, it has a low density close and even bubble structure that ensures extremely low water vapor transmissibility (Permeability ≤ 0.91×10 ﹣¹³ Kg/(m.s.pa), μ ≥ 10000) and low water absorptive capacity.
Q:Can this insulation be used outdoors and resist weathering?
Absolutely. The material has demonstrated excellent resistance to ozone (GB/T 7762-1987), UV rays, and general weathering conditions under ASTM G23 testing.
Q:What types of pipes is this insulation tube compatible with?
The extruded flexible tube is specifically designed to fit standard diameters of copper, steel, and PVC piping, offering high elasticity and flexibility during installation.
