Product Overview & Applications
Elastomeric tube insulation is designed to retard heat transmission and control condensation from chilled-water and refrigeration systems. It also efficiently reduces heat transfer for hot-water plumbing, liquid-heating, and dual-temperature piping.

Ideal Applications:

  • Ductwork insulation
  • Dual temperature and low pressure steam lines
  • Process piping systems
  • Air-conditioning systems, including hot gas piping

Installation Guidelines:

  • Slip the tubular insulation onto unconnected piping prior to installation.
  • For already connected piping, slit the insulation lengthwise and snap it over.
  • Seal all joints and seams securely with specialized adhesive.
  • For outdoor applications, apply a weather-resistant protective finish to achieve maximum UV protection.
Insulation Tube Application
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the primary applications of this elastomeric tube insulation?
It is ideal for retarding heat transmission and controlling condensation in chilled-water, refrigeration, ductwork, dual-temperature, low-pressure steam lines, process piping, and air-conditioning systems (including hot gas piping).
What is the temperature range this insulation can withstand?
This insulation performs exceptionally well within a wide temperature range of -50°C to 110°C, as tested under standard thermal guidelines.
How should the insulation be installed on existing piping?
For already connected piping systems, simply slit the tube insulation lengthwise, wrap it over the pipe, and seal the joints and seams using a specialized adhesive.
Is this insulation suitable for outdoor installations?
Yes, it can be used outdoors. However, to maximize UV protection and ensure long-term durability, we recommend applying a weather-resistant protective finish over the surface.
What fire safety ratings does this insulation hold?
This insulation achieves a Class 0 & Class 1 fire rating according to BS 476 Part 6 & 7 standards. It also meets the 25/50 flame spread and smoke developed index requirement under ASTM E 84.
