Selecting products configured with both aluminum foil and self-adhesive backing delivers a highly efficient three-in-one system. The closed-cell elastomeric rubber foam functions as the primary thermal core. The pure aluminum foil outer cladding provides protection, acting as a complete vapor barrier while shielding the foam core from impact and solar degradation. Underneath, a factory-applied, grid-reinforced self-adhesive backing simplifies installation by replacing solvent-based glues.
The thick aluminum foil lamination provides an absolute moisture barrier (μ ≥ 20,000), preventing any moisture ingress. This eliminates the risk of condensation and Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) in chilled water lines.
Our pressure-sensitive adhesive system features grid mesh reinforcement, which prevents stretching and maintains structural integrity. It forms an immediate bond to metal and PVC surfaces under temperatures from -40°C to +105°C.
