Moisture & Cryogenic Performance

The flexible ULT insulation system does not need to install a moisture barrier. Due to the unique closed cell structure and polymer blend formulation, LT low temperature elastomeric materials have been highly resistant to water vapor permeation. This foamed material provides continuous resistance to moisture penetration throughout the thickness of the product.

Alkadiene cryogenic thermal insulation materials in cryogenic environments have a lower coefficient of thermal conductivity, lower density, and good elasticity. They features no crack, effective insulation, good flame-retardant performance, good moisture resistance, durable and long-lasting performance. It is widely used in the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG), pipelines, petrochemical industry, industrial gases, and agricultural chemicals and other piping and equipment insulation projects, as well as other heat insulation in cryogenic environments.

LT Sheet and Roll Insulation

LT Sheet & Roll Insulation

LT Sheet & Roll Insulation is an outer exposed insulation surface. The expanded closed-cell structure makes it an efficient insulation. It is manufactured without the use of CFC’s, HCFC’s or HFC’s. It is also formaldehyde-free, low VOCS, dust free, fiber free and resists mold and mildew. These products can be made with special antimicrobial product protection for added defense against mold on the insulation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this ULT insulation system require an additional moisture barrier?
No, it does not. Due to its unique closed cell structure and polymer blend formulation, the material has natural, high resistance to water vapor permeation, providing continuous moisture resistance throughout its entire thickness.
What are the advantages of using alkadiene cryogenic thermal insulation in cold environments?
It offers a lower coefficient of thermal conductivity, lower density, and excellent elasticity. This prevents cracking, provides reliable thermal insulation, and ensures excellent flame-retardant and moisture-resistant properties.
Where is this cryogenic insulation material typically applied?
It is widely used in the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG), pipelines, petrochemical plants, industrial gas storage, agricultural chemical facilities, and various low-temperature piping or equipment insulation systems.
How does the insulation handle mechanical stress and physical impacts?
The material is engineered with excellent internal shock resistance. It absorbs and disperses external stresses locally, avoiding cracking caused by impact and stress concentration common in hard foamed materials.
Is the LT Sheet & Roll Insulation environmentally friendly?
Yes, it is manufactured without the use of CFC's, HCFC's, or HFC's. It is also formaldehyde-free, dust-free, fiber-free, and emits low VOCs, ensuring a safer installation environment.
Can these materials resist mold and mildew growth?
Yes. The material naturally resists mold and mildew. Additionally, it can be manufactured with special antimicrobial product protection for enhanced defense against biological growth on the insulation surface.
